The Milan-based duo idreamjazz presents their debut EP JAZZSTAR live on October 9th at OPOS (Via Ermenegildo Cantoni 3, Milan), following its release on July 18th via London-based label Kownloon Records.

The project was born from the renewed collaboration between Leonardo Salvaro (synths), aka TheSave, and Gianmaria Gobbetti (drums), aka GMG—longtime friends, both from Verona and born in 1988, who have been playing together since middle school. After years spent exploring the indie and electronic scenes across Northern Italy, the two pursued separate paths abroad: GMG in Berlin, where he developed his solo work, and TheSave in London, where he founded the label Kownloon Records.

idreamjazz marks a return to the core of music-making: improvisation. The duo pushes jazz into new territories, crafting a high-speed sonic dialogue between drums and synthesizers, deeply infused with electronic textures. The result is a radical, free-form, and unpredictable kind of jazz.

JAZZSTAR features seven instrumental tracks that weave together groove and chaos, refined composition and raw instinct. A genre-defying work that sets the stage for their first full-length album, currently in progress.

On stage, idreamjazz delivers an immersive live experience, pushing the boundaries between jazz and electronic music. With a distinctive and personal sound, they stand out as one of the most original and daring acts in today’s Italian instrumental scene.
